So, I’ve reverted back to Dropline Gnome from XFCE. I just can’t handle not having some of the panel applets I’m used to in Gnome for XFCE.
But, the stable release of Dropline Gnome 2.10.0 is out now. I haven’t had any issues with it yet. The only thing I don’t like is Rhythmbox being compiled with gstreamer for a player backend. The default Dropline Gnome rhythmbox package wouldn’t load all my mp3’s. I grabbed the latest rythmbox source, compiled with xine as my player backend and all my mp3’s loaded fine.
I’m very pleased with this release of Dropline Gnome, I’m glad there’s a good solid core group of people working on development now.
Well, now what?
